Last Saturday, October 3, 2026, an engaging psychological training session was held at Kyiv Zoo for FSP employees and their children – «Animal-Assisted Therapy as a Psychological Tool for Coping with Stress and Professional Burnout». The event brought together colleagues and their families in a friendly atmosphere, giving participants plenty of positive emotions, valuable insights, and unforgettable moments outdoors.

Participants learned about species extinction caused by human activity and the primary mission of a modern zoo – the preservation of biodiversity. To achieve this, the Kyiv Zoo has created a unique ecosystem where the living conditions of every resident are as close as possible to their natural habitat.

The highlight of the event was its second part – interactive communication with assistant animals. Participants had the opportunity to hold the racers Kotyk and his girlfriend, pet Sonyakh the gecko, and get a close-up look at Annam stick insects, Archimandrite cockroaches, and Dasia the tarantula.

A Saturday stroll through the zoo offered a true zootherapy effect – an opportunity to relax, switch off, and restore emotional resources.

We express our sincere gratitude to the administration of our faculty and the FSP trade union for organizing this useful and pleasant leisure time.
